Indians' Yasiel Puig's 3-game suspension starting Monday
Cleveland Indians outfielder Yasiel Puig's 3-game suspension is beginning on Monday.
The suspension is the result of Puig's involvement in a benches-clearing brawl between the Cincinnati Reds and Pittsburgh Pirates on July 30, the same night he was traded to the Indians. Puig is eligible to return on Thursday against the New York Yankees. Greg Allen, Tyler Naquin, and Oscar Mercado are in the Indians' outfield for Monday's series opener versus the Boston Red Sox.
Puig is hitting .357 with a .984 OPS through 11 games for Cleveland.
