Miguel Rojas injures leg in Marlins' loss, undergoing MRI
Miami Marlins shortstop Miguel Rojas is returning to Miami for an MRI on his right leg.
Rojas injured his leg while running down the first base line during a 5-0 loss to the New York Mets at Citi Field on Tuesday night. He had to be helped off the field and could be facing an extended absence. Jon Berti is starting at shortstop in Wednesday afternoon's series finale versus left-hander Steven Matz and the Mets.
Rojas is hitting .289 with a .728 OPS in 419 plate appearances (108 games) this season. He has 22 doubles, 33 RBI, 6 steals, and 44 runs scored.
