White Sox's Dylan Cease officially making debut Wednesday
The Chicago White Sox promoted starting pitcher Dylan Cease from Triple-A Charlotte.
Cease is making his major league debut in the first half of Wednesday's doubleheader against the Detroit Tigers. The 23-year-old top prospect is serving as the White Sox's 26th man on Wednesday, but he's expected to remain in the rotation moving forward.
Cease owns a 3.02 ERA and 1.23 WHIP with 450 strikeouts and 167 walks over 354 1/3 career minor league innings.
