New York Mets second baseman Robinson Cano is not starting in Thursday afternoon's series finale versus right-hander Aaron Nola and the Philadelphia Phillies.

Cano went 0-for-5 for the second time this series on Wednesday. He's gone just 6-for-41 (.146) in 11 games this month. Jeff McNeil is covering second base Thursday while Michael Conforto slides to right field and hits third. Juan Lagares is starting in center and batting eighth.
