Giants' Shaun Anderson called up for MLB debut Wednesday
The San Francisco Giants purchased the contract of starting pitcher Shaun Anderson from Triple-A Sacramento.
Anderson will make his major league debut in a start Wednesday afternoon against the Toronto Blue Jays. The 24-year-old right-hander posted a 25.2 strikeout percentage in seven starts this season for Sacramento.
Anderson spun a 4.11 ERA and 1.29 WHIP with 37 strikeouts and 11 walks across 35 innings at the Triple-A level this season.
