Seattle's Felix Hernandez (lat strain) to be shutdown for 1-to-2 weeks
Seattle Mariners pitcher Felix Hernandez has been diagnosed with a Grade 1 lat strain and will be shut down from throwing for one-to-two weeks.
Hernandez was placed on the injured list this weekend following a rough outing versus the Boston Red Sox. The diagnosis of a Grade 1 strain is the least severe, but the M's will take it easy with King Felix.
Hernandez has posted a 6.52 ERA and 1.50 WHIP with 34 strikeouts and 8 walks in 38 2/3 innings pitched this season.
