James Paxton dominates as Yankees blank Red Sox
New York Yankees starting pitcher James Paxton recorded 12 strikeouts over eight shutout innings in an 8-0 victory over the Boston Red Sox on Tuesday.
Paxton was nothing short of brilliant in this one, allowing just a pair of hits and a walk while consistently throwing in the upper-90s. He entered the game with a 6.00 ERA, but now sits at 3.91 heading into a Sunday start at home versus the Kansas City Royals.
Paxton posted 70.0 FanDuel points in the gem. numberFire's models expect him to record a 3.65 ERA and 1.15 WHIP with 214 strikeouts and 48 walks over the rest of the season.
