Angels' Andrew Heaney (elbow) throws bullpen session
Los Angeles Angels starting pitcher Andrew Heaney (elbow) threw a 20-pitch bullpen session Monday.
Heaney hadn't thrown off a mound since being shut down with renewed left elbow soreness nearly two weeks ago. It's encouraging progress, but the 27-year-old left-hander will still begin the season on the injured list.
numberFire's models currently expect Heaney to record a 4.08 ERA and 1.22 WHIP with 164 strikeouts and 41 walks across 170 innings in 2019.
