Angels' Andrew Heaney (elbow) resumes throwing
Los Angeles Angels starting pitcher Andrew Heaney (elbow) resumed throwing on Sunday.
Heaney continues to progress, but he will open the season on the injured list. The 27-year-old left-hander has dealt with elbow issues in the past, so there are some potential durability concerns.
If healthy, numberFire's models expect Heaney to record a 4.08 ERA and 1.22 WHIP with 164 strikeouts and 41 walks across 170 innings in 2019.
