Dodgers' Corey Seager (elbow) takes first swings of spring training on Tuesday
Los Angeles Dodgers shortstop Corey Seager (elbow) took swings in a live batting practice session for the first time during spring training on Tuesday.
Seager underwent Tommy John surgery last year and also had a hip procedure in August. He will continue to be brought along slowly but is fully expected to be ready for Opening Day. Seager could participate in minor league spring training games as early as next week.
Our models project Seager for 22 homers, 79 RBI, and 88 runs scored with a .288 batting average in 610 plate appearances this season.
