FanDuel Daily Fantasy Baseball Helper: Friday 10/4/19

Coming off another fantastic regular season, will Justin Verlander carry over that success against the Rays on Friday?

Friday sees all four MLB playoff series going on the same day (beginning at 2:05 p.m. ET), and depending on how things shake out, this could very well be the last time in 2019 that we get the opportunity to play this large a slate. The New York Yankees have the largest implied total at 5.17 runs.

Our daily helper is available every day to analyze FanDuel's main slate and help give you a starting point when you're building lineups. Be sure to also incorporate our great tools into your research process. Whether you're looking for daily projections, the latest starting lineups and weather, or batting and pitching heat maps to find the best matchups -- we've got you covered!

On that note, let's highlight some of the top options for today's FanDuel main slate.

Pitchers to Target

Justin Verlander ($11,200 on FanDuel): Even with plenty of other notable names taking the mound today -- this is the playoffs after all -- Justin Verlander still reigns supreme. For the season, only teammate Gerrit Cole bested him in strikeout rate (35.4%), and he was one of just three pitchers to post a SIERA below 3.00. The price tag remains high as always, but you know the upside Verlander brings in every start, and Tampa Bay is showing a poor 3.03 implied total today.
