FanDuel Daily Fantasy Baseball Helper: Sunday 4/22/18
The beauty of daily fantasy baseball is that the top targets are different each and every day. Whether it's the right-handed catcher who destroys left-handed pitching or the mid-range hurler facing a depleted lineup, you're not going to find yourself using the same assets time after time.
While this breaks up the monotony, it can make it hard to decide which players are primed to succeed on a given day. We can help bridge that gap.
In addition to our custom optimal lineups, you can check out our batting and pitching heat maps, which show the pieces in the best spot to succeed on that slate. Put on the finishing touches with our games and lineups page to see who's hitting where and what the weather looks like, and you'll have yourself a snazzy-looking team to put up some big point totals.
If you need help getting started on that trek, here are some of the top options on the board today. We'll be focusing exclusively on the main slate.
Pitchers to Target
Corey Kluber ($11,500 on FanDuel): When Kluber pitches, he's usually the preferred cash-game option, and today is no different, with our models projecting him for a slate-best 42.0 FanDuel points. Through four starts and 29 2/3 frames this season, Kluber has a 30.3% strikeout rate, 5.5% walk rate and 11.2% swinging-strike rate. Over his last two starts, he's permitted 1 total run while fanning 19 in 14 2/3 innings. Dating back to last season, he hasn't surrendered more than two earned runs in a start in 13 straight outings. The Baltimore Orioles' offense has been hot garbage this season as they own the fifth-worst wOBA (.287) and the highest strikeout rate (27.1%), and their 3.02 implied total is the lowest on the slate.
