Kendrys Morales, 1B, Kansas City Royals

Kendrys Morales, a switch-hitter, does his best work hitting as a lefty, slashing .273/.334/.477 with a .348 wOBA and .204 isolated slugging. His numbers hasn't quite lived up to those standards this year, but he is sporting an impressive 41.0 percent hard-hit rate against right-handed pitching.

He has a good matchup today against the right-handed Matt Shoemaker, who has allowed a 31.5 percent hard-hit rate to left-handed hitters over his career, with a 3.93 xFIP.

While Shoemaker isn't exactly a pushover, Morales hits righties well enough, and his salary is low enough, to make him a solid value tonight.
