Seth Smith, 1B, Seattle Mariners

FanDuel Price: $3,000

Seth Smith has been making better contact than his production numbers are letting on this season with a 33.1 percent hard-hit rate that sits above his career average and a 12.3 percent soft-hit rate that is his lowest since 2009 but with a .291 BABIP that marks the third lowest in his 10 years in the Majors.

His production hasn't been bad by any stretch, especially against righties, against whom he's sporting a .269/.373/.409 slash with a .345 wOBA, but if you compare that to his career .358 wOBA and .200 isolated slugging, or even last year's .343 wOBA and .203 isolated slugging, you should still be pretty confident that he'll produce against right-handed pitching.

He's up against Jameson Taillon tonight, who was great in Triple-A this year, but whose numbers through four Major League starts haven't been as encouraging. Taillon has a 4.09 SIERA with a 16.5 percent strikeout rate and 37.1 percent hard-hit rate, while the 60 left-handed batters he has faced have worked him for a .358 wOBA and 4.49 xFIP with only a 10.0 percent strikeout rate.
