Jonathan Villar, SS, Milwaukee Brewers

FanDuel Price: $3,200

Why He Will Go Overlooked:

Francisco Lindor and Eduardo Nunez are likely going to be the most popular options at shortstop, with Jonathan Villar being overlooked due to Vegas' bleak outlook. Villar is playing at AT&T Park, which is notorious for sapping fantasy value, and his Brewers are projected for just 3.5 runs, the second-lowest total on the slate.

Why You Should Use Him:

While it's true that the spacious AT&T Park is where power hitters go to die, Villar doesn't derive much of his fantasy value from his ability to launch long balls. Instead, Villar finds himself as the leader in points among today's shortstop options due to his ability to get on base and create havoc with his legs.

Against Matt Cain, who has a bottom-20 WHIP of 1.43 after posting a 1.50 WHIP in 2015, Villar shouldn't have much trouble getting on base. Cain's 5.20 ERA and 4.62 SIERA both rank in the bottom-15 among starting pitchers, too.

While Villar doesn't have immense power upside tonight, it's not often that we're targeting him for his power. So, at a discounted price tag and ownership against one of the league's worst pitchers, why would we not target the emerging young shortstop? Don't be scared off by the Vegas total; Villar is a quality option for this slate.
