Adam Lind, 1B, Seattle Mariners

FanDuel Price: $2,300

Depending on what the Seattle Mariners' lineup looks like today, there could be a couple of values available. They lose the designated hitter, but even then, either Seth Smith or Adam Lind will likely be in the order. Lind would be the preferable choice because of his batted-ball stats, but Smith is also in play if he's batting second.

The reason we want to target Mariners lefties today -- outside of the Cincinnati Reds' wretched bullpen -- is that the Reds' starter, Dan Straily, has struggled against lefties his entire career. His career strikeout rate with a lefty at the dish drops to 17.3%, and it brings with it a 12.8% walk rate. All of this is bundled together with a 35.1% ground-ball rate that can lead to pain in a hurry at Great American Ballpark. Lind is a guy who can make him pay for any mistakes.

His strikeouts and soft-hit rate against righties are both up this year, but Lind is overall still making quality contact. His hard-hit rate is 40.9% with a 36.6% fly-ball rate, and both of those should sit well at a spot as conducive to home runs as this. The only concern is the weather, as it looks like there's a whole lot of rain in the forecast. If they decide to play this one, get exposure to the Mariners as they could be in for a big night.
