Chad Bettis, Colorado Rockies

Chad Bettis allowed his first home runs of the season in arguably his worst start of the season against the Astros. He rebounded against the Brewers by allowing five hits over six-plus innings against the Brewers. That’s what fantasy owners needed to see. His next start is against a woeful Giants offense at AT&T Park.

Bettis’ 3.74 earned run average (ERA) is nearly a full run higher than his FIP of 2.92, a good sign for fantasy owners and streamers.

It is not too often that you see streamers recommended in road outings, but Bettis gets a Giants offense that is worst in the Majors at producing runs at home (3.0 runs per contest). The Cubs have scored one fewer run at home, but have four games in hand at the friendly confines. Nothing helps a pitcher get off the long ball schneid than the team with the worst slugging percentage at home.

San Francisco’s power outage hurts their OPS to the point that their respectable .312 OBP is rendered useless. A 1.15 G/F is only rivaled by the Pirates and Marlins, and their 10 double plays hit into at home is tied for tenth highest in baseball.

The Giants’ NL-worst 73 extra-base hits and 60.8 at-bats to home run ratio accentuate their offensive futility.
