Part of Trevor Story's early-season success is coming from the fact that he's still flexing promising power in same-sided matchups.

There's no denying that the platoon advantage has been big for the slugger over his young career though. He has converted a massive 52.4% hard-hit rate and 44.8% fly-ball rate into a .426 wOBA and .329 ISO over 497 plate appearances. If we just look at the 240 of those plate appearances that have come at Coors Field, that jumps to a .477 wOBA and .447 ISO.

You rarely want to fade Story against a lefty at home, and a matchup with Robbie Ray does nothing to change that.
