Mookie Betts, OF, Boston Red Sox

Price: $4,700

In lieu of paying up for Mike Trout at $5,000 in a slightly worse matchup, I'm sticking with the Red Sox here and playing Mookie Betts. A two-game slate emphasizes upside, and the correlation you get with Martinez and Betts is a definitely plus.

Of course, Betts doesn't need Martinez to be a top fantasy play.

After a slow start to the year, Betts is up to a .380 wOBA and .228 ISO over 137 plate appearances this season, despite his batting average on balls in play (BABIP) sitting 17 percentage points below his career-average of .314.

He's not quite making the contact he did last year, but a 39.2% hard-hit and 43.3% fly-ball rate is still a terrific combination, and that's both the second-highest hard-hit rate and second-highest fly-ball rate of his career.

We don't need to worry about the same-sided matchup for Betts, either. He's actually clobbered righties for a .446 wOBA and .310 ISO over 103 plate appearances this campaign -- surprisingly showing improvements over the .436 wOBA and .271 ISO from last season.
