Death, taxes, a .247 batting average, and a pile of home runs for Khris Davis of Oakland Athletics -- those are a few of the known certainties in life. The A's slugger continues to mash, but he's got a tough matchup on tap tonight with Eduardo Rodriguez of the Boston Red Sox

While the over/under of 9.0 runs is hefty and should lead to a good amount of ownership for Davis, this isn't the best matchup. Rodriguez, a southpaw, was brilliant against righties in 2018, giving up a mere .296 wOBA and 26.6% hard-hit rate in the split while recording a 24.3% strikeout rate.

Davis is usually popular versus lefties, and this is good time to dodge some ownership and pivot elsewhere.
