Rhys Hoskins, 1B, Philadelphia Phillies

FanDuel Price: $4,300

Some potential rain in the forecast could deflate his ownership a bit, but facing Jose Urena of the Miami Marlins could lead to some epic levels of ownership for Rhys Hoskins.

In his first five starts, Urena has been terrible, recording a 17.1% strikeout rate and 53.4% hard-hit rate in a limited sample size. So auto play Hoskins, right? For his recent home run trot alone, maybe.

In diving a bit deeper, it's not such a clear spot to play Hoskins. 2019 has been bumpy for Urena, but that's why it's important to look at the larger sample. A year ago, Urena was brilliant against same-sided bats, holding them to a .278 wOBA, .328 slugging percentage, and allowing only five long balls.

Urena has never been a strikeout whiz, but in 2018 he bumped that mark up from 16.4% to lefties to 20.4% to righties, including a fantastic 29.0% fly-ball rate. And perhaps Urena has found his way back into that 2018 form -- in his last two starts, he owns a 20.8% strikeout rate against only a 1.9% walk rate.
