Mike Trout, OF, Los Angeles Angels

Price: $5,000

With today's stud pitcher relative cheap for a top arm, fitting Mike Trout in your lineup becomes a lot more manageable.

Tonight's matchup against Lance Lynn and the Texas Rangers makes this an especially good spot to get some exposure to Trout, too. The Los Angeles Angels have a 5.11-run implied total (second-best on the slate), and Lynn has allowed a 37.5% hard-hit rate with only a 12.5% soft-hit rate to start the year. His last few seasons also haven't been anything to write home about, with walk rates north of 10% in each of the last two and SIERAs of 4.85 and 4.26.

Adding that to the heavy contact he's allowing, his solid start to the year (3.70 SIERA) isn't likely to hold up.

Trout's ability to produce shouldn't need a ton of introduction. His last couple seasons have been incredible even by his lofty standards, with a .437 wOBA and .323 ISO in 2017 followed by a .447 wOBA and .316 ISO last year. He's been especially fiery through 58 plate appearances to open this season, with an absurd .537 wOBA and .447 ISO.

He will almost assuredly cool off some, but when "cooling off" can still mean producing the best numbers in the majors, it's easy to like Trout in a spot like this.
