Nelson Cruz is a guy who absolutely does mash in same-handed matchups. He's got a career 124 wRC+ in that split, and 2018 has seen him crack righties for a .364 wOBA and .250 ISO on a 39.4% hard-hit and 36.8% fly-ball rate.
Only Aaron Judge has a higher average exit velocity than Cruz in righty-versus-righty matchups (minimum 50 batted balls).
The Seattle Mariners offense stands to benefit from playing in the most hitter-friendly park on the slate while taking on right-hander Connor Sadzeck in Texas, leaving Seattle with the day's second-highest implied total (5.43).
Sadzeck will be serving as the opener in a bullpen game for the Rangers, and while he has only pitched 6 1/3 Major League innings, the results have not been promising, with a 5.98 xFIP. His 4.00 mark at the Triple-A level wasn't anything special, either, and the Rangers' relievers also rank below-average in group xFIP this season.
