Cleveland Indians right-hander Josh Tomlin has put up some really rough numbers this season, with a 4.98 SIERA over 59 2/3 innings, starting in 7 of his 29 appearances. He hasn't posted a SIERA better than 4.00 since his 10-game 2015 campaign, and 2018 has seen him notch a brutally low 13.5% strikeout rate while allowing a 39.9% hard-hit rate and 45.7% fly-ball rate.

Daniel Palka has shown a ton of pop against righties this year, and his 37.7% hard-hit rate and 41.1% fly-ball rate in that split match up very well with Tomlin. Palka has turned that contact into a .351 wOBA and .289 ISO, giving him plenty of upside tonight.
