Has there been a better pitcher in the last month than Blake Snell? Since coming off the disabled list on August 4th, Snell has been absurd, recording a 1.40 ERA, 2.33 xFIP, and a whopping 37.7% strikeout rate. He has allowed no more than 2 earned runs in any of those starts, with fewer than 2 in all but one.

Enter Texas Rangers outfielder Shin-Soo Choo, who has struggled against same-sided arms this year. In 2018, Choo owns a .301 weighted on-base average (wOBA), including a 27.2% strikeout rate and 19.6% fly-ball rate.

All of this adds up to avoiding the lefty outfielder tonight against Snell.
