Mitch Haniger, OF, Seattle Mariners

As always, west coast games are often a good spot to find lower ownership, and the Seattle Mariners are looking like a nice target against Odrisamer Despaigne.

Despaigne has only 32 1/3 innings of work in 2018, but the results haven't been pretty, with a 6.40 ERA, 4.75 SIERA, 17.7% strikeout rate, and 10.5% walk rate. He's also allowing a 39.4% hard-hit rate and .387 xwOBA. With a career 4.88 ERA at age 31, things probably aren't going to improve much from here.

On the other hand, Mitch Haniger has been crushing it lately, posting a 40.6% hard-hit rate, .388 wOBA, and .233 ISO since the start of August. Holding leadoff duties for the Mariners only adds to his appeal, and for the season, he's put together an excellent .386 xwOBA.

With the Red Sox and Oakland Athletics looking like the chalk, Haniger and the Mariners make for a strong alternative in tournaments.
