3 Under-the-Radar MLB FanDuel Plays for 9/13/18

The Boston Red Sox own tonight's highest implied total (5.40) for their clash against Sam Gaviglio, so they should naturally be one of the more popular stacks on a short eight-game slate.

But if you want to make your stack a little less obvious, consider throwing in Jackie Bradley on the cheap. Gaviglio has solid numbers against right-handed hitters, but that's decidedly not the case against the left side, a split in which he's posting a mere 15.5% strikeout rate while allowing a 39.2% hard-hit rate and .377 expected weighted on-base average (xwOBA). He's also allowing 1.77 home runs per nine innings to left-handed hitters.

Bradley is batting ninth as usual, which limits his appeal, but it may surprise you that he's quietly posting a 41.6% hard-hit rate and 38.5% fly-ball rate with a .379 xwOBA against righties. That's... pretty good! With 12 home runs, the power output is still modest, but he's also chipped in 14 stolen bases for another avenue to extra points.

With Andrew Benintendi batting leadoff and Mitch Moreland slotting in at third, you could conceivably do a wrap-around stack that includes three lefty bats, while differentiating yourself from the crowd.
