Cheap Minnesota bats are easy to like tonight when you consider the fact that their 5.08 implied total is tied for the day's highest.

That strong mark comes in a matchup with Kansas City Royals righty Heath Fillmyer, who has an awful 5.14 SIERA over 13 games in 2018, posting a 10.6% walk rate to go with only a 14.6% strikeout rate. Those struggles haven't been surprising either, as his 13 Triple-A starts saw him stumble to the tune of a 5.48 xFIP with a 15.4% strikeout and 9.2% walk rate.

Sure, Max Kepler's .318 wOBA isn't an exciting mark, but he's also priced only $200 above the minimum salary while drawing the slate's best matchup. A .318 wOBA becomes pretty appealing in a spot like this, especially when you consider the career-best contact (38.1% hard-hit, 18.0% soft-hit, 45.2% fly-ball rates) he is making this season.
