There's not expected to be a ton of offense on tonight's slate, and the Cincinnati Reds' 4.67 implied total is the day's second-highest as they take on southpaw Eric Lauer and the San Diego Padres.

Lauer has started 19 games as a rookie this year and has struggled to the tune of a 4.80 SIERA. He's allowing a worrying 39.0% hard-hit rate, and his xFIP sits at an especially egregious 5.62 against left-handed bats.

Joey Votto is, as usual, raking against righties this year. He has notched a 38.8% hard-hit, 10.7% soft-hit and 31.8% fly-ball rate, which has translated to a .394 wOBA. That comes despite his 7.8% home-run-to-fly-ball rate sitting well below the 19.3% he posted last year or his 18.3% career-average.

Votto offers no shortage of upside against Lauer tonight.
