Noah Syndergaard has returned to the New York Mets rotation, and he's right back to his ace form. In 106 2/3 innings pitched, Thor has posted an impressive 20.2% hard-hit rate and 24.6% strikeout rate, including a 14.1% swinging-strike rate.

The right-hander has been even stronger against same-sided bats, which is bad news for Willson Contreras. The Chicago Cubs catcher has posted a .328 wOBA this season against righties, including a paltry .140 isolated power (ISO). Syndergaard has limited righties to a .290 wOBA and 19.3% hard-hit rate in 2018.

Contreras normally represents a very solid option behind the plate, but he's tasked with a tough matchup tonight.
