It hasn't been a bad season for Giancarlo Stanton by any stretch, rocking a .370 wOBA and .248 ISO, but this last month has been what has really elevated him to consistent stud status.

Over 116 plate appearances in August, Stanton's wOBA is up to .418, and his ISO sits at .327. He has 8 home runs, 19 runs scored and 18 RBIs in that stretch, averaging 14.4 FanDuel points per game.

He has been especially productive against southpaws this year, crushing them for a .453 wOBA and .344 ISO on a ridiculous 58.8% hard-hit rate.

A matchup with White Sox lefty Carlos Rodon makes this spot especially good for Stanton. Despite what his strong ERA might suggest, Rodon has not been great in 2018. His 4.64 skill-interactive ERA (SIERA) is on pace to be a career-worst clip, and his 5.10 xFIP against right-handed bats is especially egregious.
