The Detroit Tigers aren't an offense we need to focus heavily on tonight, but they do draw a plus matchup against Reynaldo Lopez, putting Niko Goodrum on the table as a cheap tournament option at second base.

Lopez has some of the worst overall numbers on the board, posting a 5.26 SIERA, 16.6% strikeout rate, and 9.8% walk rate, while allowing a .371 xwOBA. And against lefty bats, Lopez is allowing an elevated 52.0% fly-ball rate, which puts Goodrum in a good spot for a dinger. When he has the platoon advantage, Goodrum is producing a 38.5% hard-hit rate, 41.4% fly-ball rate, and .230 ISO.

A high strikeout rate (27.4%) always puts Goodrum at risk of a goose egg, but he has the goods to come through in this spot.
