Atlanta Braves first baseman Freddie Freeman is a must-play on tonight's slate, as he gets a juicy matchup against inexperienced Miami Marlins starter Elieser Hernandez.

Hernandez is making his first start since May, and, in 26 appearances mostly out of the bullpen, he's posted a 5.24 SIERA. He doesn't strike many folks out, either, with a strikeout percentage of just 16.1% on the season. Hernandez probably won't give the Marlins a lot of distance, and it's more than likely Atlanta gets into the soft Marlins bullpen quickly in this one. Miami has a 5.13 bullpen ERA that is second-worst in baseball.

Freeman, meanwhile, is hitting everybody. His .392 wOBA is 10th in the league, while his 147 wRC+ ranks 9th. The NL MVP candidate has slugged 20 bombs this season, and has hit particularly well against right-handed pitching, posting a .383 wOBA and 141 wRC+.

Look for a big night from the Braves' hulking first baseman against Hernandez, who comes into the game with an implied score of 4.38 that is among the worst on the evening's slate.
