Jose Ramirez, 3B, Cleveland Indians

Price: $5,500

The high-priced bats we're targeting tonight aren't exactly sneaky plays, with Jose Ramirez ranking second to Martinez in home runs and also fifth in RBI, seventh in runs scored and second in stolen bases. His .426 wOBA ranks fourth among qualifying hitters (again, one spot behind Martinez), and his .326 ISO is good for first.

A switch-hitter, we don't need to be overly concerned with the handedness of the opposing pitcher, but he does get a boost when up against a righty, like he is tonight taking on Jake Odorizzi and the Minnesota Twins. Ramirez sits first in ISO against right-handed pitching (.367), while he has jumped up into a tie with Martinez for first in wOBA in that split (.450).

Odorizzi has a middling 4.34 SIERA this season and has allowed some very powerful contact, with a 36.1% hard-hit and 48.6% fly-ball rate. Ramirez is a threat to do big damage from the dish here, and with the Twins having allowed the seventh-most steals (both overall and per game) in the Majors, he gets a bump in upside on the basepaths, as well.
