Adam Duvall, OF, Cincinnati Reds

Price: $2,900

Adam Duvall is coming off a 2017 campaign that saw him post a .382 wOBA against southpaws. His production is way down this year, but there's still plenty of room for optimism.

He has only managed 97 plate appearances against lefties this year, and despite his outstanding 46.7% hard-hit and 13.3% soft-hit rate, he only has a .332 wOBA and a .255 batting average on balls in play. Comparing that to his career-average .278 BABIP against lefties (which comes on a 38.8% hard-hit rate and 13.2% soft-hit rate), he has been on the wrong side of variance this season.

That being said, his .332 wOBA and .217 isolated slugging (ISO) against southpaws are strong enough to make him a viable play today even if you don't agree that he stands to bounce back. They show plenty of power, and he brings them into a plus matchup against Philadelphia's Ranger Suarez, who will be making his first Major League start after posting an unexciting 3.80 xFIP in his three Triple-A starts and a 3.74 in his 12 Double-A starts in 2018.
