Phillip Ervin, OF, Cincinnati Reds

We don't have a big sample size for Phillip Ervin in the Majors, but he has looked outstanding against left-handed pitching. It's only a 25-plate-appearance sample, but he has 9 hits and 3 walks for a .443 wOBA. He has also posted a strong .381 wOBA with a .202 ISO in 202 Triple-A plate appearance in 2018.

The Cincinnati Reds' offense is in a great spot tonight, taking on lefty Austin Gomber of the St. Louis Cardinals. Gomber has an ugly 5.24 SIERA over his first 15 MLB games, and the Reds boast a 5.18 implied total.

Ervin is still largely unproven at this level, but his promising numbers and great matchup leave him offering huge value while priced only $300 above the minimum.
