Ji-Man Choi, 1B, Tampa Bay Rays

Price: $2,000

Ji-Man Choi may be an even less safe play than Healy, but the upside he offers is very interesting when you factor in his price at minimum salary.

Over 3 Major League seasons, Choi has made 173 plate appearances against right-handed pitching. His .305 wOBA in that sample is nothing special, but he has a 34.6% hard-hit, 10.9% soft-hit and 36.7% fly-ball rate, which has translated to a hefty .230 ISO.

Minnesota Twins righty Kyle Gibson has only managed a 4.17 skill-interactive ERA (SIERA) this season, with left-handed bats tagging him for a 37.9% hard-hit rate. Choi is a boom-or-bust option here, but his upside is not at all captured in his rock-bottom price.
