Jake Lamb, 3B, Arizona Diamondbacks

The San Diego Padres have struggled this year, but their future is bright with Joey Lucchesi. Lucchesi has had a breakout campaign in 2018, posting a solid 3.89 SIERA. He has been an absolute nightmare for left-handed hitters this season, striking them out 28.3% of the time while holding them to a 9.7% fly-ball rate (yes, that's a real stat).

You know who struggles against all southpaws? Jake Lamb. Lamb has been a career platoon hitter, posting a 118 wRC+ against righties but just a 52 wRC+ against left-handed pitching. The main culprits? A 31.7% strikeout rate and 28.2% hard-hit rate against southpaws.

Things haven't gotten much better in 2018. This year, the third baseman has a 90 wRC+ against southpaws. He's struggled in particular lifting the ball against left-handed pitching, as he has just a 20.8% fly-ball rate against them this year, therefore limiting his home run upside.
