Tom Murphy, C, Colorado Rockies

Despite being away from Coors, the Colorado Rockies have one of tonight's top matchups, facing an overmatched pitcher in Yohander Mendez on a hot summer night in Arlington, Texas. Mendez has produced a poor 6.17 FIP, 17.5% strikeout rate, and 10.1% walk rate over 10 Triple-A starts this year.

The Rockies should be a popular destination, but there's a chance Tom Murphy slips through the cracks in spite of his low price. A recent call-up from Triple-A, Murphy has always shown the ability to hit, but simply hasn't been able to stay healthy to get a fair shake at the big leagues. However, a quick look at this season's Triple-A numbers show a promising .420 wOBA and .353 ISO over 209 plate appearances.

Murphy takes his fair share of whiffs, so a big goose egg is very much on the table. But he's a cheap way to exposure against a poor Triple-A pitcher.
