Sometimes the right move can be as simple as playing the most talented guy on the board. There's no question that Tampa Bay's Blake Snell is on a tier of his own among tonight's eight starters, and frankly, it's probably not all that close. Snell boasts the best marks in both SIERA (3.48) and strikeout rate (27.4%), and in most other matchups he would easily lap the field in ownership.

But naturally, he's in a brutal spot versus the Bronx Bombers at Yankee Stadium, which is about as bad as it gets outside of Coors Field. But if there's any silver lining, the Yankees have a forgiving 23.0% strikeout rate against southpaws, and no team is immune to getting shutdown when a pitcher is on his A-game.

And Snell sure looks like he's been in top form lately, allowing just three earned runs over his last five starts combined. We're not talking about a bunch of cupcakes either, with the names on those box scores reading: Angels, Red Sox, Athletics and Mariners (twice).

Snell could very well be up to the task, and on a night when the rest of the pitching field could easily bomb, you might be handsomely rewarded for keeping the faith.
