Freddie Freeman, 1B, Atlanta Braves

FanDuel Price: $4,800

With the New York Yankees and Boston Red Sox among the most dangerous offenses in the league, and the Arizona Diamondbacks and New York Mets looking awfully cheap tonight, those four clubs could garner much of the ownership on Thursday's four-game main slate. Therefore, when paying up, expect most people to go for guys like Giancarlo Stanton, Aaron Judge, Paul Goldschmidt, Mookie Betts, and J.D. Martinez.

Don't forget about Freddie Freeman, who should go lower-owned in a spot against Tyson Ross. Considering Ross has a solid 3.81 SIERA and 24.5% strikeout rate, on the surface this doesn't look like a particularly appealing spot to attack. But against left-handed hitting, Ross' strikeout rate drops to 20.3%, and he's allowing a .370 xwOBA and 40.0% hard-hit rate.

That's something we can definitely work with, and even more so when we're bringing a guy like Freeman to the party. Freeman has always been a thorn in the side of right-handed pitchers, and he's really ramped it up over the past few seasons, posting a .413 wOBA and .279 isolated power (ISO) since the beginning of 2016.

Based on Freeman's overall success and name value, he ought to still get his fair share of ownership on a short slate, but he should also sneak below most of tonight's other elite bats, potentially giving you an edge on the field, particularly at first base.
