3 Under-the-Radar MLB FanDuel Plays for 6/5/18

Outside of the occasional value play, the Baltimore Orioles tend to be an easy team to forget when we have a 14-game slate, and that figures to be the case today with the Orioles holding a mundane 4.14 implied team total against Jason Vargas.

While Citi Field is hardly an exciting hitting venue, the Orioles do have a great matchup against Vargas, who's been lit up for a 8.53 ERA over six starts. Vargas is holding just a 4.67 SIERA, 18.7% strikeout rate, and 8.9% walk rate, and it wasn't like he was all that great in 2017, either.

But with most people likely paying up at pitcher, few will have the luxury to afford Manny Machado, giving us an excellent opportunity to nab him at lower ownership. Machado continues to hover near the top of the leaderboards with a .426 wOBA and .305 ISO, and he looks unstoppable these days, slugging a home run in three of the last four games. While others are clamoring to fit in Yankees or Red Sox, we can happily grab Machado instead.
