Carlos Correa, SS, Houston Astros

Coming off a 2017 campaign that saw him set career-high marks with a .394 wOBA and .235 isolated slugging (ISO), Carlos Correa is showing that those numbers weren't a fluke, opening 2018 with a .410 wOBA and .227 ISO over 106 plate appearances.

He's particularly deadly against southpaws, and since the start of the 2017 season he has clobbered left-handed pitchers for a .441 wOBA and .214 ISO on a 42.0% hard-hit rate in 136 plate appearances.

He draws a particularly good matchup tonight as well. He'll be taking on Oakland Athletics lefty Sean Manaea, who has had a strong start to the season, but has still shown plenty of room for concern.

Five good starts in 2018 doesn't completely overshadow Manaea's career averages, which include a middling 4.22 SIERA. In addition, even if we just look at his great 2018 season, Manaea is allowing a hard-hit rate north of 40% to right-handed hitters -- something Correa is more than capable of taking advantage of.
