Mike Moustakas, 3B, Kansas City Royals

Price: $4,000

Chicago White Sox righty Lucas Giolito finished 2017 with the second-worst SIERA among starting pitchers in action tonight. He has also been absolutely egregious to open 2018, with a 7.71 SIERA through four starts as well as a 19.2% walk rate and 9.1% strikeout rate.

Four games is a small sample, for sure, but we can still read plenty into his struggles. For starters, his career-average SIERA (over 17 games across three seasons) sits at 5.63. His 2017 season, which was bad but not heinous, looks to be the exception so far. The 23-year-old has also seen a drop in velocity in each of his seasons in the majors, having experienced a fall of 3.3% since 2016. That's seriously concerning for a guy who underwent Tommy John surgery early in his career.

This is a terrific spot for the Kansas City Royals' offense -- particularly their left-handed bats, like Mike Moustakas.

Moustakas is off to a great start to 2018, with his .396 wOBA and .304 ISO both on pace to be career-highs, while he's sporting a massive 48.1% hard-hit rate. Versus righties, that jumps to a 53.2% hard-hit rate with a ridiculous .482 wOBA. He has shown plenty of pop against right-handed hurlers in the past, with a .268 ISO in 2017, and that power gives him appealing upside.
