J.D. Martinez, OF, Boston Red Sox

Price: $4,000

J.D. Martinez isn't a guy who has any trouble with platoon splits. In righty-righty matchups last year, he turned a 47.1% hard-hit rate into a .402 wOBA and .351 ISO.

He continues to look good with the Red Sox, having managed a .374 wOBA and .235 ISO over 90 plate appearances this season. What really stands out, though, is his batted-ball profile. He has a ridiculous 63.0% hard-hit rate with only a 5.6% soft-hit rate.

Blue Jays righty Marco Estrada is the only starter on the slate who finished 2017 with a worse SIERA (4.69) than Giolito did, and he's on pace for an even worse mark in 2018 (4.80).

Estrada has always given up a ton of fly balls, with fly-ball rates north of 50% in three of his last four seasons. When you combine that with the 34.9% hard-hit rate he's allowing to right-handed bats this year, it should be no surprise that he's already given up 5 home runs in 55 righties faced.

Martinez is crushing baseballs right now, and this is a money spot for him against a fly-ball pitcher.
