Jay Bruce, OF, New York Mets

Price: $2,800

Through a small three-start sample, Washington's Tanner Roark is on pace for a SIERA south of 4.30 for the first time in the last two seasons. He's also on pace to give up both the most hard contact and the highest fly-ball rate of his career, though, and he hasn't done enough to make himself a scary fantasy matchup yet.

Dating back to the start of last season, he has allowed a .358 wOBA and 4.99 xFIP to left-handed hitters. That means he goes right past not scary all the way to appealing as a fantasy matchup for Jay Bruce tonight.

Bruce has had a slow start to the year, but again we're still dealing with small sample-sizes in 2018. Going back to the start of the 2017 season, he has cracked right-handed pitching for a 41.6% hard-hit rate, 9.9% soft-hit rate and 44.7% fly-ball rate. That contact has netted him a .363 wOBA and .264 ISO, and he offers a ton of value against a righty at this price-point.
