The Angels' 4.19 implied total isn't anything to write home about, but their right-handed hitters draw a very solid matchup against Red Sox lefty David Price.

Price hasn't been nearly as good to start 2018 as his 2.40 ERA may lead you to believe as he owns a 4.59 SIERA that is on pace to be a career-worst clip. He hasn't posted a strikeout rate as low as his current 19.0% mark since 2009, and he hasn't had a walk rate as high as his current 8.6% rate since 2010. To make things worse, he has been tagged for a huge 38.1% hard-hit rate.

His numbers against right-handed sticks in 2017 were similarly concerning as he gave up a 37.0% hard-hit and 45.7% fly-ball rate in the split.

In 154 plate appearances since the start of the 2017 season, Justin Upton has hammered southpaws for a massive .463 wOBA and .361 isolated power (ISO) on a 43.3% hard-hit rate. Price has limited opposing fantasy production this season, but his peripheral numbers suggest that he isn't likely to keep that up. Upton, a guy who mashes against lefties, is a prime candidate to take advantage of that.
