FanDuel Daily Fantasy Baseball Helper: Tuesday 4/17/18

The Houston Astros are in a plum spot against southpaw Ariel Miranda. Which other players should you peep on the main slate?

The mad April weather struck again on Monday, knocking out two games, including a surprise Royals-Blue Jays cancellation from a busted roof. That's right folks, even domed games are no longer safe from Mother Nature's wrath. The Blue Jays were on track to be the chalk last night, so hopefully you pivoted to teams like the New York Mets, Oakland Athletics, and Tampa Bay Rays in your cash games.

The forecasts look safer for tonight's 12-game main slate, so perhaps we can finally breathe easy. We have a healthy selection of pitching to choose from -- with one standout in particular -- and the sheer number of teams available will give us plenty of bats at our disposal.

Our daily helper is available every day to analyze FanDuel's main slate and help give you a starting point when you're building lineups. Be sure to also incorporate our great tools into your research process. Whether you're looking for daily projections, the latest starting lineups and weather, or batting and pitching heat maps to find the best matchups -- we've got you covered! And don't forget to take a listen to The Solo Shot podcast with Jim Sannes, who breaks down the MLB daily fantasy slate each day.

On that note, let's highlight some of the top options for today's FanDuel main slate.

Pitchers to Target

High-Priced Pitchers

Corey Kluber ($11,400 on FanDuel): When Corey Kluber pitches, you play him under nearly all circumstances, regardless of price. Through three starts, he's posted a 2.34 SIERA, 33.3% strikeout rate, and 4.9% walk rate. Same old Klubot. Yawn. Yeah, he's as bored as we are. Other guys may have more eye-popping strikeout numbers in the early going, but don't try to get cute in your cash games -- Kluber's track record speaks for itself. He'll take on a Minnesota Twins lineup that has its share of punchouts waiting to happen, and they have only a 3.22 implied team total. Note that the game is in Puerto Rico, where the warm temperature should benefit hitters, but it shouldn't affect your outlook for Kluber.
