Aaron Nola, SP, Philadelphia Phillies

FanDuel Price: $8,800

Aaron Nola's ERA is low to start the season, but some of his underlying numbers show some concerning trends. He has a 7.8% swinging-strike rate on the season, which is low even for a guy that is notorious for over-performing his swinging-strike rate. His .188 BABIP is also due for regression, and his 4.54 SIERA indicates that he has been fortunate to post such a low ERA to start the season.

His opponent on Monday -- the Atlanta Braves -- has been one of the biggest surprises in baseball to start the season. They have hit the ball exceedingly well, especially against right-handed pitchers. In fact, the Braves have top-five marks in both wOBA and wRC+ against right-handed pitching in 2018.

Atlanta has done this by striking out just 19.2% of the time against right-handers, which saps the upside of any opposing pitcher they face. At such a lofty price tag, you are better off looking elsewhere for your starting pitcher.
