3 Under-the-Radar MLB FanDuel Plays for 4/9/18

Luis Valbuena made an appearance in these parts last week, and it could be another opportunity to use him tonight against Doug Fister.

Fister can be annoyingly effective at minimizing the damage against right-handed hitting -- as the Houston Astros saw last week -- but that isn't so much the case against lefties. Since 2016, Fister has allowed a 38.6% hard-hit rate and .386 wOBA to left-handed bats.

Valbuena generally isn't much of a cash-game play because of his low spot in the order, but he's got enough power to put up some points in tournaments. Last season against righties, he had a 35.4% hard-hit rate and 51.4% fly-ball rate on his way to a .249 ISO. With most games dealing with cold temperatures tonight, Valbuena will also benefit from temperatures in the high 60s in Arlington.
